A careful restoration work, which took place in recent times, has further enhanced its early medieval appearance, rediscovering all the Gothic windows that had been walled up, the elegant wooden coffered ceilings and the decorative terracotta elements.

These elegant and refined spaces are currently home to a luxury resort, with ten themed bedrooms, big living rooms and dining rooms with fine period furnishings.

This majestic castle measures 7,545 sqm, distributed between the main floor, the ground floor and the second floor. The main floor, renovated conservatively, boasts splendid frescoes in every room, while the other two need restoration.

Thanks to the immense charm of its rooms furnished in an 18th-century style, the castle was chosen as the set for the Italian tv series "Elisa di Rivombrosa", as the home of Marchioness Lucrezia Van Necker.
