Luca Borgogni

Luca Borgogni completed his architectural degree at “La Sapienza” University of Rome in 1992 with the maximum mark of “110cum laude” specialising in Restoration. Luca began working at the studio with his father full time in 1992 and to this day directs his busy office. Over the years Luca has put together an excellent team of dynamic and competent architects, engineers and interior designers. He has completed a long list of both public and private works including an early collaboration in Australia with Luigi Rosselli of four branches in Sydney of the Sienese bank “Monte dei Paschi di Siena”. He has continued his collaboration in Australia with projects of luxury private residences in Avalon, Clontarf and Dural.

In 2001 he completed a large project of a modern church in the town of Monteroni d’Arbia in the province of Siena. Other important projects include work for the “Opera del Duomo di Siena” as well as the total restoration of the Museum of San Bernardino in Siena (1460). He has also restored the belltower of the San Domenico Church in Siena (1265), Palazzo de’ Vecchi (1680), Palazzo Piccolomini Clementini (1380) as well as parts of the prestigious “Museo dell’Opera” in the cathedral of Siena (1348). In 1994 along with other architects he was awarded the first prize for his project in the national competition for the development of the railway station of Siena. His work has been published in a number of magazines including “L’architettura cronache e Storia”, “Chiesa Oggi”, “Newstreet” and “Modulo”.

In 2010 he finished a very contemporary large residential complex of 70 apartments at Sovicille. In 2011 he was commissined to restore the prestigious Villa Chigi-Piccolomini near Siena as well as the famous Monastero Castle which dates back to the year 731. The client base of Studio Borgogni is Italian however in recent years Studio Borgogni has expanded and now works for many foreigners investing in the luxury property market in Italy. He has recently completed a long list of stunning private residences for a vast array of clients from various different countries. Luca is very proud to announce his most recent and without a doubt his most prestigious commission. After a very intense selection process he has been awarded  the complete restoration and transformation of the Villa Reale di Marlia Estate.

Luca collaborates with the University of Siena as well as the Monte dei Paschi Foundation and Sansedoni Society. The studio is located in the historic centre of the city of Siena only one hundred metres from the Duomo.
