Prestigious Hotel With A View Of Capri's Faraglioni
Capri-style luxury property on the southern coast of the island
Majestic hotel with an outbuilding surrounded by a luxuriant leafy park in Marina Piccola
In Marina Piccola, one of the most prestigious towns on the southern coast of the island of Capri, there is this prestigious hotel overlooking the Faraglioni, the most famous rocks of the Meditteranean Sea, an inspiration for artists all over the world.
Located on the main street of Marina Piccola, next to the bay of the same name, this property is located in a very quiet area protected by the surrounding hills, yet close to the main services offered by the island, a few minutes walk from the exclusive boutiques of the center and the most renowned typical restaurants. The town's charming square can be easily reached along the panoramic Via Krupp, an enchanting walkway carved out of the limestone rock overlooking one of the most beautiful seas in Italy.
Surrounded by a large green area of 2,600 square meters, with the possibility of extension, this property is accessible by car from a wrought iron gate. From the road, two paths cross the lush garden which extends over several levels and leads to the entrance of the villa. At the lower end of one of the paths we find a magnificent gazebo, while to anticipate the entrance to the villa a big, perfectly furnished patio is the ideal place to relax in the shade of a big lemon tree.
This 1,000-sqm hotel features the most classic architectural features of Capri's tradition, with limestone walls and splendid terraces shaded by a pergola supported by columns. The main building, arranged over three floors, houses ten bedrooms for welcoming guests, all with en-suite bathrooms and private terraces overlooking the bay of Marina Piccola or the lemon garden.
On the ground floor a reception is located next to a breakfast room and a café with a bar area that opens onto a covered patio furnished with tables and chairs. An internal corridor separates the first four rooms. By going up the spiral staircase that connects all the floors we reach the first level, with a reading area with a library, a TV room with access to a semi-circular panoramic terrace, and six other rooms. Their refined design, the result of the work of local artisans, is combined with the latest comforts, creating sophisticated environments that invite you to relax in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
The second floor is entirely dedicated to outdoor spaces, with a beautiful area covered by a porch, set up for the construction of a roof garden, and a 150-sqm sun terrace equipped with sun loungers and served by a shower. From here, the view extends unobstructed to the horizon, while a staircase descends gently towards the bay.
Next to the main building, the annex serving the property is a structure of enormous historical value and architectural prestige, as it is one of the first houses built in the area towards the end of the 19th century. It is a two-storey structure built internally in masonry, whose facade stands out for the perfect alternation of huge arches supported by majestic columns that make up the roof over the veranda.
From a staircase that starts from the garden, with independent access also from the road, we reach 907-sqm of the property's grounds, partly dedicated to an orchard and partly to a parking area.
