Just 400 metres from the beach and as stone’s throw from the moist exclusive shopping streets of Forte dei Marmi, famous for it's luxury properties, this Villa for sale measures 300 m2, and is set apart by the fluid, uncluttered style of the interiors, where top-quality materials highlight the subdivision of the spaces, complemented by the classic yet dynamic geometry of the external forms.
On the outside, the portico looks out onto the 1000 m2 of grounds surrounding the Villa, while the relaxation area features an elegant, heated rimless swimming pool, plus a whirlpool installed on a structure made of wood. Wood, in various shades of colour, together with natural materials, also provide the underlying theme of the interiors, were the space is subdivided by an interplay of columns, one of which – manufactured with the highly refined trencadis technique – is covered with an exquisite mosaic in the colours of the sea.
The central open space holds a large living room and a dining room, as well as an eat-in kitchen and a spare bathroom. Also found on the ground floor is the first night area, consisting of a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom area with a large sauna.
The first floor is laid out along both sides of a lengthy central corridor that holds doors leading to 1 bedroom with a double bed and a private bathroom, 1 suite with a bathroom decorated in light-hued marble, plus the master suite, which comes with a double bathroom done in marble and including a whirlpool set in an island faced with this same elegant material to finish what is one of the most stunning Versilia villas.

Tuscany Forte dei Marmi

The fine, light-coloured sand of the beach at Forte dei Marmi, Italy, the exclusive vacation spot in the Versilia region, stretches from Pietrasanta to Cinquale. The town itself features abundant greenery, plus tree-lined boulevards and villas with large grounds.

The earliest development of the area, which had long been a practically uninhabited marshland zone, dates to the 16th century, after Michelangelo, at the bidding of Pope Leo X, had laid out the road for transporting the marble of the Apuan Alps to the sea: in fact, a loading dock and a warehouse were, for many years, the only buildings in the location.
At the end of the century, with the reclamation of the marshlands under Pope Leo, the site began to attract fishermen, marble workers and peasants. By the end of the century, construction had also been completed on the fort that was give the community its name, while the nineteenth century saw the marble industry grow, accompanied by an increase in port operations as well.
But Forte dei Marmi truly came into its own thanks to tourism, with the first timid signs of its future development visible towards the end of the nineteenth century, though the rise proved most rapid in the period after the First World War, when the town became an elite vacation destination for aristocrats, businessmen and intellectuals, as well as leading figures in national and international finance, sports stars and celebrities from the world of entertainment.
